On March 27, 2012 First Contact HR Founder and CEO, Leon Singletary will lead a panel discussion on succession planning at Villanova University's annual HR Networking Reception. The Greater Philadelphia community is invited to participate in this eventfor HR professionals and business leaders that will address one of the most important and interesting challenges in the business world today - succession planning.
Understanding and implementing effective succession planning can be the crucial difference between organizations that weather the storm and organizations that get swept away.
Attendees will learn how they can gain a clear talent advantage for their organization over the competition in their industries. Leon Singletary who is also a Villanova HRD program alumnus will moderate the discussion. While many organizations focus on selecting the right talent into the right job for new employees, far fewer organizations focus on taking their current employees to the "next level" by cultivating the talent they already have. Succession planning gives an organization the tools to harness the talent and leadership that facilitate future success. Fostering talent through developmental initiatives such as leadership training, workforce planning, implementing competency standards, utilizing global sensibility and awareness, mentoring and recession planning will give any organization a distinct advantage for ensuring continued success.
